  1. Hi Fred, I was very interested in your pictures of the DJB 2-6-0…I am in the advanced stages of
    building one…taken 18 months so far ! Lots of mods .. new firebox etc and was susprised at how far
    the cylinders needed moving out for clearance. Struggling with deciding how to do the lubicator
    actuators at present. Did you find problems in these areas?

      Yes I did have a lot of trouble with the kit at every step of the way, if you also look at the Q class it was the same, you maybe able to see on the pic of the cylinders detatched from the main chassis and body picture that there is a spacing peice added to the back of the chest, as for the lubricator i can’t remember but i would think there was a problem.The boiler i replaced with 15 thou N/S and i think the S/Box also, i had to slit the F/Box down the centre from the back to about two thirds its legnth the form a decent shape and so forth and so on. Will never touch one again Steve and certainly not for a commision.
