I’ve been railway modelling for over 45 years, starting first in 4mm, moving through to P4 (18.83 mm) and then up into 7mm where my main interest and work now lies. Working on the Railways for the last 38 years has gained me a first hand knowledge of how weather conditions and different traffic flows around the network effected the locos and stock enabling me to replicate this in my work. In 1999 I was made a steam fireman and in turn passed out as a driver in 2006, driving main line steam charter services operated by EWS and DB with varied classes of loco. At the end of each trip I made a point to look at where the loco had be affected by the day’s work.
In the above pages you will see a varied collection of my work, organised into ‘Steam’, ‘Diesels’, ‘Coaches’, ‘Wagons’, and ‘Weathering’. This work was completed for a number of different clients across the country.
Although currently I am only taking on weathering work, I intend to return to commissioned building work in the not too distant future.
